'Tiffany Blue' Damask Flower Painting

Okay - So I got so excited about this that I couldn't wait to post until tomorrow! Here is a new item at my shop, 202 Designs! I just finished making this for a custom order, but I think it is cuter than the original, so I thought I would add it to my shop - Take a look!

There are two things that I find myself drawn to in art - all things damask, and all things nature. I decided to make my own art putting these two elements together and I ended up with an amazing painting! I used a rich tiffany blue for the damask pattern and accents in the flower, and then used a background of a neutral tan. The flower uses a warm, dark brown to help it stand out! Over the neutral tan I began painting a damask pattern, then I used a clear paint along with some brown paint to make a semi-translucent flower over top. I couldn't be happier with how this piece turned out!

The canvas measures 20" x 16". Edges are painted as well and staples are hidden in back so this piece is ready to hang upon arrival.

NOTE: This piece will be made upon order. I can use different colors, or make in a different size if you would like!
Please allow for 3 weeks for this painting to arrive after ordering.

Etsy Find: Earrings!!

Take a look at these unique earrings!
Kilo Jewel has some awesome pieces in her shop - Stop by and check it out!
The purple lampwork bead are what make these earrings so cool!

When seen in natural light the beads are a rich deep purple. When seen under fluorescent lighting the beads are a more demure purple colour. This is shown in the photos, the single earring photographs are taken in natural light, where as the photographs of the pairs are taken under fluorescent lighting.

Earrings are 1 1/2" (4cms) long. Earwires are made of sterling silver, as is the wrapping for the bead.

The bead is a bubble bead, a lampwork bead that has a whole bunch of teeny tiny bubbles in it's center. The bubbles catch the light and add a whole new level of eye-catching glamour to an earring!

Find of the Day: Dinosaur Plushi

Put one in your pocket...they are good traveling companions.

I absolutely love bright green combined with medium blue, for some reason. Although the official color of the blue is
"neon blue" I think of it as more of a royal blue, really. The spots on his back are green and blue embroidery floss.
He was lovingly crafted in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

This pocket-sized dinosaur is hand-sewn from eco-friendly felt and stuffed with hypo-allergenic fiberfill.
The eyes and the spots on the back are hand-embroidered.

If you are interested in purchasing a custom dinosaur, please visit Pocket The Saurus!
